Brooks Statement on American Embassy Relocation to Jerusalem

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks (R-IN05) provided the following statement on the dedication of the American Embassy in Jerusalem, Israel:

“Today’s dedication and opening of the American Embassy in Jerusalem is an historic moment for both of our nations; one that cements our bond as democratic allies. It reaffirms the United States’ commitment to support the successful democracy of our closest ally in the Middle East and formally recognizes Israel’s capital city, Jerusalem, as their seat of government.

“I look forward to celebrating the relocation of our embassy to Jerusalem with fellow Hoosier Vice President Pence at the Celebration of Israel’s 70th Independence Day event this evening. May we continue to be agents of change who promote peace and stability for the people of Israel and all who live in the surrounding region.”
