Brooks provided the following statement:
“The Energy and Commerce Committee has a proven track record of bipartisan success and broad jurisdiction over issues of significant importance to all Americans, including public health and safety, health care, telecommunications and oversight of federal agencies and departments. I appreciate the opportunity to continue serving on the Energy and Commerce Committee in the 116th Congress under Leader Walden’s leadership as we work to produce legislative solutions focusing on improving the lives of Hoosiers and Americans across the country.”
Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Greg Walden (R-OR02) released the following statement congratulating Congresswoman Brooks:
“Congresswoman Brooks has been a leader in the Committee’s efforts to produce legislation and conduct rigorous oversight. She is dedicated to providing lasting solutions to issues directly impacting American families and communities through her work to address the mental health crisis, combat the crippling heroin and opioid epidemic, and expand access to broadband capabilities and safe technologies. Her leadership on health care and biodefense has played a pivotal role in our efforts to better prevent and respond to threats to our public health and national security. I look forward to her continued leadership and working with her to find solutions to our nation’s greatest challenges.”
